What does “traditional use” mean in the library?
Traditional use describes a practice with cultural or historical continuity; it does not automatically establish modern clinical effectiveness.
The short answer
The library labels traditional use separately from modern research. Traditional knowledge can provide valuable context, but preparation, dose and population may differ from current products. Each entry therefore explains the historical use, available human evidence and safety information independently.
